Our Services

HAIMS registered nursing staff provide expert coordination and facilitation health and immunisation management. HAIMS provide health and immunisation programs to various council districts throughout Adelaide and operate according to national standards of cold chain management and administration of vaccines.

Workplace Immunisation

Certain occupations, particularly those related to healthcare, plumbing, emergency and essential services, and those working with children, animals or specific communities are associated with an increased risk of vaccine preventable diseases.

Workplace immunisations make sense. They will protect employees from illness, will protect people in their care and reduce absenteeism from the workplace.

HAIMS can provide Onsite immunisation and wellness programs for all of your employees, increasing your workplace productivity and employees’ longevity.

Council Immunisation

Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting people against harmful diseases before they come into contact with them in the community. Immunisation not only protects individuals, but also others in the community, by reducing the spread of disease.

HAIMS have extensive experience in conducting council immunisation programs and currently service a number of council areas in South Australia. HAIMS can coordinate and facilitate public clinics, school programs and New Arrival programs.

Champion Nurse

The Champion Nurse Immunisation Program has been established to provide immunisation program support to providers and the wider community in metropolitan Adelaide.

The Adelaide Primary Health Network has commissioned Health and Immunisation Management Services (HAIMS) to provide the Champion Nurse Immunisation Project.

General Practices and other immunisation providers can benefit through the help of specialist immunisation nurses who can:

  • deliver immunisation program support, mentoring and education to providers
  • mentor nurses who are new to immunisation program delivery
  • deliver education and support relating to cold chain management
  • provide systems support, including documentation, recall and reminders
  • provide Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) support and education

The Champion Nurses are able to:

  • provide immunisation information to the community
  • support families with identified barriers to vaccine uptake
  • counsel vaccine hesitant parents
