Immunisation
Immunisation is a simple, safe and effective way to protect you and your family from disease, and it can save lives. It helps stop the spread of illness to your family, neighbours, friends and the community. It is a simple, safe and effective way of protecting children and adults against certain harmful diseases. It uses the human body’s natural defence mechanism to build resistance to certain diseases. The risks involved with contracting one of these diseases is far greater than the very small risk of immunisation against the disease.

Immunisation clinics

  • No appointments are required and you may attend any session at any venue.
  • Please arrive at least 15 minutes before we close.

Our immunisation clinics provide the following immunisation services:

  • Childhood immunisations (Medicare card holders only or babies registered with Medicare waiting on card)
  • High school immunisations
  • Adult immunisations, including pregnancy, flu and occupational health
  • Catch-up Immunisations (Medicare card holders only)

Please ensure that you bring your Medicare card, your child’s Health and Development Book (Blue Book) and any other relevant immunisation records.

If your child has been vaccinated overseas you will be required to provide a copy of the vaccination records. To improve the service the records will need to be reviewed offsite before immunisation can occur

If a child attending Council’s clinic is under the age of 16, their parent/legal guardian must consent to the administration of the vaccine(s). If you intend having your child vaccinated and are unable to attend with your child you need to be contactable by phone as the Registered Nurse will need to obtain a verbal consent.

Immunisation services are administered by Health & Immunisation Management Services.

They can be contacted Monday-Friday 9am-5pm on 8152 0363 or email admin@haims.com.au
